- Qirat is act of reciting quran is called Qirat. The style of Qirat recitation is called Maqam/Maqama is musical note used in arabic music and quran recitation.
- Each maqamat has unique musical tone which influences emotional feelings and style of music/recitation.
- There are Eight maqamats that leads to melody in Quran listening. 8-Maqamats are Ajam, Nauhand, Bayat, Saba, Khurd, Rast, Hijaz and SikahÂ
